Faces of Pfalz — Terroir, Grapes and Styles
Join us for an in-depth masterclass exploring Pfalz, Germany’s second-largest wine-growing region, with Janina Huber, Managing Director of VDP.Pfalz.
Born and raised in Pfalz, Janina will introduce the region from several perspectives, from its history and the development of its wine industry to its key grape varieties, diverse soils and distinctive wine styles. A broad selection of wines from VDP.Pfalz member wineries will be tasted throughout the session, allowing participants to experience the character and diversity of Pfalz directly in the glass.
The masterclass is based on a new educational programme developed by Pfalzwein, the regional wine marketing board. The extensive project brought together leading wine professionals, including several Masters of Wine, to create a comprehensive resource on Pfalz and its wines. It explores the region’s history, wine industry, grape varieties, soils and styles, offering a broad and in-depth introduction to one of Germany’s most dynamic wine regions.
Following the masterclass, all participants will receive digital access to the complete educational programme, allowing them to continue exploring and deepening their knowledge of Pfalz after the session.
