  • Uncorking Zinfandel

Join us for an immersive masterclass exploring the complex story of Zinfandel, California’s iconic and sometimes misunderstood grape. Led by American Sommelier and California Wine Ambassador Rienne Bilz, this tasting takes participants through the full spectrum of Zinfandel’s evolution—from its historic roots and golden era to today’s age-worthy legends and approachable styles.

Discover the grape’s surprising origins and how it became embedded in American wine culture: from the pink-hued popularity of White Zinfandel to the renaissance of old-vine plantings now celebrated for powerful, characterful reds. The session will delve into its journey across California’s wine regions, exploring the impact of terroir, winemaking philosophies, and changing consumer tastes.

Rienne Bilz, with years of experience across major wine-growing regions and a gift for bringing stories alive in the glass, will guide guests through an exciting selection of wines.
